None of these differences have an impact on the ability to migrate data, these differences only effect how the app shows data within Jira.

JQL Functions are not available in the Jira Cloud version of the app, but there are indexed fields available to get similar usability of Jenkins data within JQL.

Instructions

Migrate from any Jira instance to any other Jira instance

App data can be migrated from any Jira instance to any other Jira instance using the build in Export and Import feature. Using this you can export either the app configuration, Jenkins sites, or automation rules, or a combination of these three and import them in another Jira instance.

You can even combine the app data from multiple instances into a single instance.

Checkout the documentation on the details.

Automated Migrate from server to cloud using the Jira Cloud Migration Assistant

Automated migration of app data is supported via the Jira Cloud Migration Assistant app.

Simply install the Jira Cloud Migration Assistant and the upgrade the Jenkins Integration for Jira app to the latest version available, and migrate all your Jenkins data within Jira to your Jira Cloud instance.

Both the Jenkins Integration for Jira - Lite and the Jenkins Integration for Jira support automated migration paths using the Jira Cloud Migration Assistant.
